Employee Self-Service is a module of Microsoft Dynamics 365 for Talent that help your employees improve their productivity and get the answers they need when performing a task in Dynamics 365 or in Outlook.
Employee Self-Service provides capabilities for:
  • Time tracking and absence management• Absence management and sick notes
  • Vacation request and monitoring of approval progress
  • Display of remaining leave
  • Travel expenses and receipt submission
  • Progress of scorecard and of training and development
  • Download of forms and employee information

Employees can organize their own absences, activities, travel expenses and receipts, without having to involve the HR department. The central employee portal provides every feature that they need, and most functionalities are accessible also on mobile devices or in Outlook.

Leave Management

Employee Self-Service enables your employees to check their remaining leave entitlement at any time. The software compares vacation allowance with approved vacation days and calculates the remaining available leave. A chart provides an easy to read overview. Your employees can plan their holidays much more easily, and supervisors can see at a glance if vacation days are still available.
Common tasks that can be performed are:
  • Employees, supervisors and HR department can view remaining vacation days anytime
  • Remaining leave entitlement is automatically calculated
  • View in an easy to read chart
  • Simplify vacation planning for employees
  • Give supervisors a better overview of open leave entitlement

Goal Management

Various goals can be set in Performance Reviews. This could be tasks, skills, trainings and certificates that should be achieved or completed by a specific deadline. Employees can monitor and maintain the status of these goals in their Employee Self-Service. A chart displays current stand, with target and progress clearly marked.
Employees have access to these self-service functionalities:
  • Goals set during Performance Reviews can be monitored and maintained
  • Required skills, training and certificates etc.
  • Quick overview of goal deadlines
  • Illustration of completed, partially completed and as yet unreached goals in a chart

Travel Management

In the Self-Service portal, employees can enter their own travel plans and file receipts. Travel information and expenses data are entered and displayed with just a few clicks. No longer does the employee have to submit documents via the HR Department or Financials. If required, trips and receipts can be assigned to specific projects quickly and easily via drop-down-menu.
In summary, the self-service travel functionality provides:
  • Log all important travel and receipt data direct via the employee
  • HR Department and Finance Department need not be involved
  • Optional assignment to projects via drop-down selection
  • Quick logging via Self-Service even during the business trip
  • Much faster reimbursement of travel expenses

Conclusion

Whether it’s an IT, HR or customer service question, having to search multiple places or contact another employee for knowledge that is available, but not easily found, wastes valuable time and effort.
