Summit EMEA’s Social Series: Let’s talk Summit EMEA with Allan Lassen

As part of the Summit EMEA Social Series, the Summit EMEA team has talked to several influencers from the industry about their experience with conferences such as Summit EMEA and why they will be attending Summit EMEA in Dublin this year. In this blog Allan Lassen, who is CRM Solution Architect at BRFkredit and chapter leader of the CRMUG in Denmark, gives us an insight on what he is most excited about and why he values attending this conference so much.

Why is content one of the main reasons to attend this conference?

Allan: “I see Microsoft Dynamics CRM as a journey. On this journey we continuously have to learn about how we can benefit from our Dynamics CRM investment and how we can improve our business. At Summit EMEA, I look forward to hear about the newest products and features, but also about how Dynamics CRM is used in other companies so I can learn from their experiences.”

What sessions do you look most forward to attending at this conference and why?

Allan: “The GDPR regulation is coming very soon and I think that a lot of companies in Europe face some challenges due to it. I look forward to exchange experiences so we all can learn how to get that properly integrated in our CRM systems. Besides that, any sessions on artificial intelligence, virtual reality and customer engagement are at the top of my list.”

Why is this conference a can’t miss from a content perspective?

Allan: “We must stay ahead to meet customer expectations. The Dynamics CRM platform helps to fulfil that, but we have to learn how to use it the proper way. There’s no better place to benefit and learn from other customer experiences than at a conference. You can’t substitute in person sessions lead by industry leaders together with peers that have the same issues as yourself.”

Why is community one of the top reasons to attend this conference?

Allan: “It’s about meeting other Dynamics CRM users and sharing experiences and challenges with each other. As I mentioned before, I really enjoy learning from other Dynamics CRM implementations but besides that, I think it’s very nice to meet other people that share the same interests. Attending Summit EMEA is the perfect opportunity to meet with everyone in my community in person.”

Having access to Microsoft engineers and support technicians is not something that you will get every day. Why is this important to you?

Allan: “It’s a great chance to meet some of the guys who developed the Dynamics CRM platform. Not only can we hear their ideas but we can also give them feedback on how it performs in real life.”

How does having this network positively impact your company?

Allan: “Summit EMEA is a great way to reach out to my peers and to help out by sharing my experiences and challenges with the rest of the CRM community. Networking at this conference happens organically wherever you look, it’s grabbing a coffee, it’s waiting for a session. We do have a great network here in Denmark, but having an wider network in Europe and EMEA is of course even more beneficial to my company.“
